In the spirit world, many spirits are clearly non-human and have no human forms and therefore no human behavior. Some may have evolved from some giant ant spirit 100 millions of years old, that sort of non-humaness.
I believe very few are Christians or match the Christian world views, just like an ant probably doesn’t care about Lucifer or whatever.
If you encounter a non-human spirit and react like a christian american teenager reacts in front of a « demon » in a sci-fi movie, that’s a bad place to start.
Go learn some taï-chi, then eventually come back.
Part of the shamanic practitioner’s work is basic anthropology and that means keeping in mind that non-human beings may have non-humans world-views and may have non-human behaviors and then that means trying to find some common ground and ways to communicate and understand each other. Have let them have their ways a bit so that they will let you have some of your ways too. Learn to share ways to be able to share space. Be able to show some teeth with spirits who may have a lot of it. Be able to use some tricks with spirits who may have lots. Be able to show manners with some spirits who may have lots. Etc…
So, watching videos explaining the mysteries of « odd » cats behaviors may help building a better shamanic practice, besides being ever cute and funny.
